About Me
I am a philosophy student, enrolled at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Since my youth I’ve been interested in History, Philosophy, and Politics. By using this blog I hope to organize my thoughts on these topics by writing book reviews and short essays.
Many of my posts will be concerned with the transition period from the Roman Republic to Empire. This period especially fascinates me, primarily because it shows the weaknesses of political structures while some of the most illustrious people in history lived in this period. Additionally, this period unites the three main topics of history, philosophy, and politics that I will write about on this website. I will also write posts concerning philosophy and contemporary politics.
During my free time I love to read (primarily non-fiction) or watch movies; I also have a passion for genealogy and spend a lot of time creating family trees, including one of my own family and of significant historical figures.
